Dixie adds two gorgeous kids to the herd.

Early Saturday morning Dixie decided it was time to deliver her twin kids and she did so quickly and efficiently as always.  The little doeling is a gorgeous red with frosting and what appear to be at least partially blue eyes, the buckling is a stunning tri-color and is already displaying a sweet personality.  I will go ahead and post pictures of both but the doeling has already been reserved.
The happy little family 2 hours after arrival.

Our sweet little red head!  She has already found her people and will be joining them along with Tinkerbell's only surviving girl in 8 weeks!

This photo does not do this little man justice, he is gorgeous and strong.  He will make a great sire to someone's herd.
Remember all of our littles are double registered, disbudded, immunized and come with a bit of transitional feed; all kids are $200.00 apiece.

Kidding Season 2017!!

Well, after the crazy winter we have had here in Northern Utah we were looking forward to a fun and productive kidding season.  However, we have had several heart breaking losses here at Shamrock Farms and are still sorting things out a bit.  We have lost two of our sweet nannies and three little ones this year.  Tinkerbell (our first true Shamrock Farm bred and born girl) died after having a horrible experience delivering quintuplets, she also had quints last year but with no complications.  Only two of her kids survived but they are darling bottle babies and are quite healthy, they live in our kidding shed with a hen who does not get along with the other chickens and therefore lives in the shed as well.  The three of them are adorable when they curl up together to sleep.
This is a little doeling with black and brown marbling with bits of white here and there.  She is great on the bottle and will be a relatively small doe.  She will be double registered. (sold)

This buckling also has black and brown marbling with scattered white as well as a few moon spots.  He is the larger of the siblings and is also great on the bottle.

The second doe that kidded this year was Princess, she is the most phenomenal doe ever!  She had quadruplets in less than 40 minutes, with three of them coming within minutes of each other.  All four are healthy and nursing off Princess, but they are handled multiple times a day so that they are friendly little things.  One of the bucklings is what we call a 'teacup' meaning he is quite tiny and adorable.
This little tri color is a buckling and is the biggest of the bunch.

Our little teacup buckling, his photo shoot did not turn out very well.  We will try again tomorrow but oh what a face!

This little one has gorgeous black and white coloring and will make a great sire for someone's herd!

And last but not least the little sister!  She has pretty coloring and a sweet disposition.  She is as healthy and playful as her brothers but a bit more fun to cuddle with.
All of our kids are double registered, will have their current shots, be disbudded, and will come with a tip sheet and transitional food. All kids are $200.00 apiece, we will hold them until they are 8 weeks of age with a $50.00 deposit.  We currently have two 'bottle babies' that will be available when their family is ready for them, keep in mind that these little darlings get fed four times a day and need lots of interaction with their family.  We love our animals and will do everything we can to help you find a perfect fir for you, we also reserve the right to not sell a goat if we are not comfortable with the situation they will be going to.  One last thought goats are not loners they need a herd/family and we strongly discourage keeping a goat alone.  Please feel free to call or text us at 435-452-1804, we would love to introduce you to the herd here at Shamrock Farm!

Two darling bucklings left!

It has been an amazing spring.... crazy weather and lots of goat kids all over the place.  We have finished debudding and immunizing all or our little ones, they will be ready to go to their new homes on April 30th!  We only have two darlings left for sale; they are both bucklings, one is from Veronica and one is from Dutchess (the doe we sadly lost this year).  They are still intact but we will wether all the boys who are not reserved as bucklings  the weekend of the 23rd of April.  So if you are looking for an intact mail call us soon..
The pictures above and below are both of Veronica's buckling, he is a solid blue black color.  He is still a buckling but will be wethered in two weeks.  He is a sweet little boy with good bloodlines.

This little guy is being hand raised and is super friendly, as in sit in your lap while you scratch his ears friendly.  He is also still intact but will be wethered in two weeks.  Feel free to call about either of these sweet little boys.  They would also make wonderful 4-H or FFA projects.

Here we go.....

It is kidding season once again and it has started with a flurry of activity here at Shamrock Farm....triplets on Saturday, Quads on Sunday and quintuplets yesterday (Monday)!!!  Sadly we lost one of our adored nannies, Dutchess.  She delivered three beautiful kids (twin doelings and 1 buckling) on Saturday evening but a fourth kid lodged in the birth canal and caused some internal damage which led to her death.  She will be missed, her kids are now being had raised by Moira, Liam, and Hugh.  The kids are doing well, though the smaller twin is struggling but my kids are doing all they can to get her thru this rough patch.  As of right now we have six doelings and five bucklings available.  We still have three nannies left to kid so we will be updating and posting pictures, we were just giving everyone a day or two to settle in and they are busy trying to stay warm.  All of our kids may be double registered, we disbud them, provide the first shots and will wether the bucklings if desired.  Doelings are $150, bucklings $200, and wethers are $100, registration is $30 for both associations.   More information and pictures to come!!!!

What a Spring!

We have already sold all of our doelings and five of our bucklings this year!  We are so excited to work with this year's buyers, all of our goats are getting excellent homes, we love that!!  The following pictures are of the 7 little guys who are left, we are hoping that a few of them will go to breeders as they show excellent potential.  However, we will start wethering any unreserved males at 6 weeks of age.  This weekend will see us start de-horning and immunizing the little ones as well.  Wethers are $100 and Billys are $150, all goats can be registered for a fee.  Thanks for taking a look at our little herd!
This is Flash, he is super friendly and loves a good scratch.  He has great potential as a billy.

This is one of our littlest guys...he is mostly fawn colored with the white star.

This is one stubborn boy who did not want his picture taken!

Both of the black goats are available males.

This young man has some dark markings.

This is one fun kid!  And an available male!

This is the second of our mostly black with a bit of white here and there boys.
Come visit these little guys, they are a lot of fun and we would love to match you with the right one.  We can be reached at 435-458-3547 or 435-452-1804.

They are here!!!

Saturday March 7th saw our first kids arrival and by the 13th six does had produced a total of twenty kids.  Sadly two were stillborn but the eighteen left are gorgeous and healthy!  We started with 12 bucklings and six doelings, 1 buckling and 4 doelings have already found their new homes but we have plenty of kids left to choose from.  The first 2 pictures are the doelings that we still have and they are pretty!!!

This little darling is out of Veronica, one of the best mother's I have ever seen.  I will post pictures of the nannies and our billy "Thor" tomorrow:).

This shy little one is out of Dutchess and is already getting attached to people.

We have had a bummer crop of little boys this year and one of the little bucks has already been spoken for.  However there are 11 more to choose from including one blue eyed and several with wonderful coloring that we would love to see remain intact and be used for breeding purposes.
These two little guys are Veronica's and have a few stray white markings but are a wonderful blue-black color, they would be great to add some deep color to a herd.

This is one of Princesses little boys, his ears are still a bit curled but with time they will lay correctly.  He is quite small but definitely feisty.

This gorgeous boy is out of Dutchess and has wonderful face markings that do not show in this photo.

I have to admit I really like this boy, he just struts around the pasture all day, he has chocolate eyes to go with his markings and is out of our blue eyed doe Dixie.

Dixie's other boy has her blue eyes. We would really love to see this youngster remain intact and go to a good breeder.  He has a sweet personality as well.

This tri color is out of Princess and is obviously a bit camera shy.

This boy is out of Dutchess as well and is just a happy little thing all the time.

We have three other bucklings to off that are out of Anastasia but I do not have their photos yet.  I will post those tomorrow along with pictures of the mothers and the wonderful 'Thor'.

We offer doelings at $150, bucklings at $150, and wethers at $100, this price includes baby shots, disbudding, and wethering services.  Registration is available at $15 for one or $20 for double, you do not have to register your goats but it is an option.  We do offer discounts on the purchase of multiples.  We strongly encourage you to choose and reserve the kids you want and then claim them after they are at least 6 weeks of age.  All of our does take excellent care of their kids and we offer plenty of interaction to them on a daily basis, if you really must experience bottle feeding we will consider each case separately.  We love our goats here at Shamrock Farm and want them to go to good homes, we will do all we can to help you find happiness with your own Nigerian Dwarf goat.  Please call Sheila at 435-458-3547 or 458-452-1804.  We look forward to hearing from you.  Check back for more pics soon!
